Learn the Art of Laminated Pastry

If you have a passion for baking and are looking to stretch your skills, join Holly Tatnall on Saturday, February 11 for a class in laminated pastry. This magical technique gives the pastry lover items such as croissants, Danish pastry, Napoleons, and Palmiers. Trained at the San Francisco Baking Institute, Holly will spend the day introducing participants to the principles of laminated pastry and give each the opportunity a chance to make several samples, both savory and sweet to take home. Class size limited. Registration deadline is February 1, 2017.

2017 Winter Gala

Join us on February 25th from 6:30 to 9 PM at the Cortez Cultural Center for an evening of good music, great food and delicious drinks. Raffle winners for a weekend trip to Santa Fe or Creede, registration for two to the Ute Mountain Mesa Verde Birding Festival and other great prizes will be announced at 8:00. Tickets to the Gala are $50 and include food, one drink token, and one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased through the Cultural Center. Call 970-565-1151 for more information.
