Have you seen guidebooks on Mesa Verde, Four Corners and Chaco? Well Gian Mercurio is the author of several local guidebooks and wants to share with you her knowledge on Pueblo Culture. She will have photos and artifacts to share and a wonderful discussion on how it was like to live here back then.
As an Everybody Eats program around food, Gian will also be sharing 2 foods with us to taste. First you'll be able to taste traditional Hopi Piki Bread, which is a thin batter of blue cornmeal and water, cooked over hot stones and then rolled up into Piki Bread. Then you'll be able to try Blue Corn Bread made from blue corn meal from Bow & Arrow Farms in Towaoc.
